Dead Man's Gun

Companion piece to Gaz's Ice Queen, and finding the song for this one probably ripped part of my heart out in the process.

Unlike Gaz, I don't really like drawing Dib when he's older, as there is way too much room for error. It's too tempting to take a young character and overdo their appearance when they age, so I can't. So whenever I end up drawing Dib older, I tend to skip right past teenage and straight to adulthood, like here. As his hair gets more extreme as he ages, so I applied it to the rest of his hair instead of just his spike. If Dib's hair was spiky before, now its like a bed of thorns.
Also the idea of Dib with a melee weapon was laughable, so he gets guns.

By the way, I highly recommend listening to the song referenced here. Its actually quite sad and fits him very well. It also featured into the video game, Red Dead Redemption.
